Panoramic Monferrato
Villages, abbeys and a traditional aperitif
Just beyond Turin, the scenery begins to shift. Urban sprawl fades into an enchanting tapestry of rolling hills, vine-covered slopes and timeless hamlets. This is Monferrato, a UNESCO-protected region where breathtaking vistas blend seamlessly with a rich historical heritage, age-old farming customs and the quiet grandeur of medieval castles, ancient abbeys and stately homes that bear witness to generations past.
We will discover the evocative Abbazia di Vezzolano, nestled in the silence of the hills, one of the most fascinating Romanesque-Gothic complexes in Piedmont. Among green meadows and ancient stone, time seems to slow down, offering a moment of quiet contemplation in one of the most atmospheric places of the region.
At sunset, among vineyards and gentle slopes, we reach Tenuta Tamburnin, a family-run estate deeply rooted in the local winemaking tradition. The visit reveals the work in the vineyards and the philosophy behind production, before concluding with a traditional aperitif accompanied by a tasting of typical wines.
A slow and evocative journey where UNESCO hills and landscapes, historic villages, ancient abbeys, castles and wine traditions intertwine to reveal the most authentic soul of Monferrato—a land that enchants with its natural and timeless elegance.
